Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cups warm water
  • 1/2 tbsp yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour and some for rolling out and dusting the pan

Directions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar and yeast and let sit 5 minutes until yeast proofs.
  2. Add 1 cup of flour with proofed yeast and mix well in Kitchen Aid with dough hook.
  3. Add additional 1 ½ cups flour and salt, knead until smooth. Cover bowl with saran wrap. Let dough rest in a ball for 10 to 20 minutes. Set a timer for 10 minutes and then start to preheat the oven.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  5. Dust baking sheet or pizza pan evenly evenly with flour. 
  6. Remove dough from bowl, dust rolling surface with flour and roll out. 
  7. Place on pan.
  8. Top your pizza dough however you would like. Be sure and leave a ¾-inch space on the edge for crust.
  9. Bake pizza at 400F for 18 minutes.
